Full body contemporary dance class
Nicola’s contemporary dance
classes are based on release-technique with influences from Limon, Flying low
and Alexandertechnique. Floorwork, connection with the center and being
grounded are important issues for her as well as moving low, upside-down and
going in and out of the floor. She also
puts particular focus on breath, flow and the dynamics of suspension and
release in her material. The aim of this class is to get a more acute sense of
the body working as a whole and to promote the interconnectedness between ones
center and extremities. Elements of improvisation are often used mixed with set
material.
